Discover what is involved in home care and how it can benefit you and your loved one.
Home care and support plans suited to you
Home care can mean different levels of support for different people. Each individual’s needs are unique and we can provide as much or as little as you need. It can range from help with household errands, to personal care and more.
Our care needs at home plans are completely flexible, with no minimum contract. Our mission is to give you, and your family members the reassurance that you can go about your day-to-day life happily, safely and with confidence.
How we can help
Collaborative care
If you’re currently caring for a loved one, we work with you to blend professional carers with family and friend involvement. This means we provide support alongside family members and friends, enabling you to balance caring with your own busy life. Find out more about how our collaborative care could benefit your family.
Companionship visits
Companionship care helps support you in continuing to do what your loved one enjoys. Whether that is meeting friends, walking the dog, visiting a local cafe or tending to the garden, we listen to your loved one’s needs and create a companionship care plan tailored to you and your family’s specific needs and wishes.
Personal care
Maintaining personal care can be difficult when dealing with physical ailments, and your loved one could be hesitant to involve family members or friends in personal care. We can work with them to discreetly create a personal care plan that will help maintain their daily routine whilst retaining their dignity and independence.
Respite care visits
Many people look after loved ones with no caregiving experience or outside help. This can become difficult and exhausting for both the caregiver and the loved one. Our short break respite visits can provide support in these situations.

Client testimonials
We were very nervous about instructing Abney & Baker as our mum who suffers from Alzheimer’s has not reacted well to other carers in the past, but we soon realised that mum was in safe hands. In fact, Abney & Baker had been recommended to us by a friend.
All of the girls who visited mum were lovely; patient, kind, courteous, understanding. All of the admin staff we dealt with were professional, understanding and extremely responsive. We had no concerns or issues whatsoever and I would not hesitate to recommend Abney & Baker.
The support provided by Abney & Baker made a big difference to our lives, during a very difficult period. We highly recommend this fantastic company.
I have been extremely impressed by the management and the staff team who are extremely caring, pleasant, friendly, professional and really get to know the person they are supporting, showing real understanding and empathy about how they would like to be supported being responsive to their needs. The staff team are genuinely interested in the person they are supporting and includes all the family members.
